FoodPanda promise to strive hunger in PH

We all know that filipino loves to eat. Having meals 3 times a day and sometimes we can't avoid to eat  snacks even in midnight.
Undeniably, our love for food  become our access to our craving to be a neccessity. From this, Foodpanda become world's leading online food ordering and delivery platform, a relevant mobile app for most of us today.

Sadly, there's still a fraction of  filipino population who cannot even afford to have sufficient and nutritious meal once a day. According to the national report from UNICEF in 2010,  it states that we have the highest condition of food inadequancy among Asia's tiger cub economies from year 2005 up to 2012.

Rise Against Hunger (RAH)

Widespread poverty in the country and is also considered as root of different major issues in  society. This is what motivates the team behind non-profit, multi-national organization, Rise Against Hunger, to cooperate with local groups and companies who view hunger as a major problem and aims also to help the Philippines and it's people.

RAH Executive Director Jomar Fleras said that their personal mission is to finish the hunger in our lifetime  by providing food and life-saving aid to the world's most vulnerable and by creating global commitment to mobilize the necessary resources. FoodPanda Philippines shares the same aspiration and pledges to donate a portion of every order or total food bill to support the cause. Partnership between these two global.organizations begin in 2015 and has gone a long way from helping and feeding the chosen beneficiaries who mostly belong to indigenous families.

The program focus on spending and buying pimary goods and necessities which are being packed and delivered bh volunteers to remote areas like barangays and provinces nationwide. This year's meal packaging eveng is hosted by Department of Health Manila Head Office and gathered almost 2,000 meal packs to be transported and distributed for indigenous communities in Candelaria, Zambales.




The meal packaging program held last July 20 at DOH compound, Manila. Assembly processing meal packets involved the combination of rice, soy, dehydrates vegetables and 23 essential vitamins and minerals. "We believe that there is no small or grand gesture go a long way, creating ripples of change, and making a big impact, says Lacopo Rovere,  CEO of Foodpanda Philippines.
