Hakata Ikkousha Manila

Eating an authentic Japanese ramen is a highlight of experience for me as a food blogger. That's why I'm really excited about my visit in Hakata Ikkousha, Manila.


Just want to share you a little background about Hakata Ikkousha. Ikkousha means “one happy place.” This was the vision of its founder and master chef, Kousuke Yoshimura, when he started his first restaurant in Fukuoka, Japan in 2004. Hakata-ku, or Hakata Ward, is the district within Fukuoka that Ikkousha calls home.

The place is famous for the style of ramen that Ikkousha serves: tonkotsu ramen, which has come to be known as Hakata ramen. He dreamed of creating a place that would bring people joy and nourishment – a place where they can create great memories while enjoying delicious ramen. And we are lucky to have Hakata Ikkousha Manila within Muntinlupa City owned by  Mr & Mrs. Marivic and Shigehiro Tomoda.

Even though there's a tough competition between japanese -themed restaurants and ramen house, i think Hakata Ikkousha Manila , stood -out from the rest. Promise,  you'll get the best ramen from what you have paid for.

            After an hour of travelling from Malabon City to Festival Mall Alabang, Muntinlupa. I've finally got to taste this tasteful ramen, it was well worth the wait!


          First thing to do is to complete your order sheet. It allows you to indicate your preferred noodle hardness,  broth saltiness and also your choice for additional toppings. 
Toppings included cha-shu (pork meat)  slice, kikurage [black fungus mushrooms],  soft-boiled egg and spring onions
After you've choose your preferred broth type, you can customize your ramen even more. You may choose from regular type,  which comes with the standard toppings (one cha-shu slice, kikurage [black fungus mushrooms], and spring onions); ajitama, with standard toppings plus one seasoned egg; or special, with standard toppings, one seasoned egg, and three slices of cha-shu.) The order sheet allows you to indicate your preferred noodle hardness, as well as broth saltiness.

From a bowl of noodles,  smell and taste of it's ramen, Hakata Ikkousha, Manila is absolutely amazing. Hakata Ikkousha's ramen got their own hint of flavor and aroma. Their very own noodles surprisingly give me the sense of satisfaction in terms of authentic taste and texture of Hakata ramen.
       And as soon as you've finished your Hakata Ikkousha's ramen you will discover it's big difference from other ramen house who usually used an instant noodles.

      It's like a ramen dream come true for me , truly it's a must-visit ramen house from the South.
